En noviembre de 2022, Madrid vio la inauguración del nuevo Centro Deportivo Municipal La Cebada, ubicado en el corazón del barrio de La Latina.
Este moderno complejo, que abarca 7.720 m², representa una renovación completa de las instalaciones previas y una apuesta por ofrecer espacios de calidad para la práctica deportiva y el uso vecinal.
Diseñado en 2017 por el estudio madrileño de Manuel Álvarez-Monteserín Lazo, el centro destaca por su innovadora arquitectura. Además, cuenta con aportaciones técnicas de vanguardia como la ingeniería de ETFE desarrollada por L&Z, que incorpora una superficie de 605 m² de láminas de este
material ligero, resistente y sostenible.
Las láminas fabricadas con Nowoflon ETFE 250µ, con opacidades del 60% y 70%, han sido utilizadas en tres
áreas principales:
• Piscina cubierta: 175 m².
• Pérgola exterior: 180 m².
• Fachadas: 250 m².

Designed in 2017 by the Madrid studio of Manuel Álvarez-Monteserín Lazo, the center stands out for its innovative architecture. In addition, it has cutting-edge technical contributions such as ETFE engineering developed by L&Z, which incorporates a surface area of 605 m² of sheets of this light, resistant and sustainable material.
